How I Intend To Use The Blog In The Classroom

In a technological world like this, teachers have to find new ways of getting the lessons to their students and also find technological ways of presenting their lessons.

Most of our students have laptops or phones where they can use the internet, and this blog will allow the teachers and students to interact at anytime of the day. For example:
- Homework can be sent via blog
- Notes can be given in the blog
- 24/7 discussion can be held
- Students can ask questions in the blog and their peers can assist

Students will also learn how to use technology in a constructive way, rather than just going on their computers to play games or surf the different social networks.

There was only one disadvantage that I could think about. There might be one or two students in that class that might not have internet access, and therefore will be behind.

Those are my views, feel free to tell me what you think.

  1. I agree with the points that you have made. I did not think of a disadvantage and you are correct in saying that some students might be at a disadvantage if they don not have internet access. one would take it for granted that everybody has access to the internet.

  2. I think that the blog is a very good idea. Disadvantages: all the students do not have access to a computer at home but they might have a cell phones with internet access however the internet on the phone depending on the type to phone might be slow and the students will not be able to access that information properly.Depending on the size of the screen it can be difficult to read the information.

There are very good advantages and also a few disadvantages.
